2.17: "The King Rises" ... ft. Russell 'Fly' Morris
**** EXPLICIT LANGUAGE WARNING ***
It was a "must win" game for the St Kilda Football Club if playing finals footy was a serious goal for AFL 2020, and they duly delivered. Despite a lack of champagne football, the Saints controlled the game from start to finish against the Bombers to walk away with another 4 points. Max King received a deserved nomination for the NAB AFL Rising Star award in Round 12 for 3 goals - and he really should have had five or six - and a dominant performance against one of the AFL's best in Michael Hurley. We take a look back at a solid victory, with eyes on the next prize: The Brisbane Lions at the GABBA.
Former Saint and Hawthorn premiership swingman Russell Morris joined Unpluggered Podcast this week to talk about his 66 games at St Kilda FC, where the wonky #12 'social butterfly' won Tony Lockett's respect and quickly become a fan favourite at Moorabbin.
